Promoting Discipline and Respect Through Martial Arts Training
It is broadly known that Martial Arts has helped to promote Discipline and Respect amongst teenagers, a trait that is oftentimes missing amongst this age group.
It is interesting that a Study by the British Medical Journal indicated that troubles Teenagers will very likely become troubled adults and have lingering problems throughout their lives.
Educating parents and creating a stable family environment would do a great deal towards preventing problems, as children grow older but it is also good to know that we, as Martial Arts Instructors can do a great deal towards helping our children.
It is a very responsible task to promote such traits as Discipline and Respect but we are also promoting much, much more in the process. Health and Fitness, Focus and Concentration, Awareness and many physical skills that are always going to be useful to have and just a few benefits that can be gained through a Martial Arts Program.
These types of attributes will undoubtedly help prevent damage during the teenage years when potential problems lie waiting and then continue to help throughout our lives.
There is also a great deal to be gained by adults starting Martial Arts. We may not be able to change anyone, but we can certainly help them change themselves.

I can say personally that the martial arts were invaluable both during my formative teenage years and during my adult life. The effects are real and lasting.
