Bodyweight Culture is another site that comes very highly recommended with some great information regarding Conditioning and Flexibility.

Elastic Steel

Elastic Steel is a great site with loads of free information about Flexibility, Body Weight Training, Athletic Conditioning, Strength Training.

Paul Zaichik has made a load of great information available, I was very impressed by the book “The Power of One” which goes into depth about Unilateral bodyweight skills and gives you five sensible steps to mastering a unilateral skill. It shows you how to master such exercises as Single Leg Squats, One arm chin ups, One arm push-ups and many more.

In fact, if you go to their site you can still order a FREE copy of this book “The power of One“. A highly recommend it.

The very least you should do is go and visit the Elastic Steel Site and watch a few of their Free Training Videos.

I just received this awesome (free) video from my buddy Zach Even-Esh and I wanted to share it with you because in it he shares his ‘favorite and most powerful training tool”

This Training Tool is a super effective yet so simple and costs next to nothing.

If you’re into ‘real’ No B.S. training then you’ll definitely want to see Zach’s video he put together for you. If you’re not then you need to take a serious look at your training program.

Here he demonstrates some great exercises and flat out tells you where you can get your hands on this training tool in your own town for cheap!!

I know you’ll like it: Add this training tool to your home gym and I know it will help you, It is training tool that every Combat Athlete should own and there are really no excuses on this one.

Train Hard - Train Smart - Fightwize

Many of my posts and articles are ended with the phrase “Train Hard - Train Smart - Fightwize” and it is a statment that I really believe in. It should be obvious to most but let me explain anyway -

 Train Hard

In Combat Sports, there is no substitute for hard work when training to maximize your results in any area. It needs you to Train Hard whether you are looking to increase stamina and endurance, increase cardio fitness, gain muscle, lose fat, increase flexibility and so on.

Train Smart

Not all exercises are equal, some are far more effective than others so put some thought and research into finding the right type of exercise that is required to meet your intended goals. For example, if you are looking to burn fat and your method of exercise is to stand in front of a mirror doing a few Bicep Curls and Tricep Kick Backs - “It aint gonna happen”. However. exercises like Body Squats, Squat Jumps, Push Presses, Wall Balls and exercises that incorporate the large muscles in the body or multiple sets of muscles at the same time will use many calories and help you tu burn that unwanted fat away.

The main point is - Think about the exercises you do, find out what exercises are most effective to help acheive your intended goals safely.

Fightwize

Whatever form of Combat you are involved in, use your brain throughout your training and the actual event. The right training will help in you make intelligent actions, reactions and responses.

Muhammad Ali Quotes

Muhammad Ali is still one of my favourite Fighters, he was without doubt one of the greatest fighters ever.

I also love some of the Muhammad Ali Quotes, but this one in particular, I really like -

I never thought of losing, but now that it’ s happened, the only thing is to do it right. That’s my obligation to all the people who believe in me. We all have to take defeats in life”.

What a truly great attitude to have!
